Yeah carfax or autocheck reports will tell you. The best way however is look in the drivers door jam. Look at the white tag in the door jam. If the vehicle is Canadian it will ahve the Canadian leaf on the white tag in the Jam. Make sure the vehicle is in miles and not kilometers. Also look at tail lights or headlights and see if you see DOT AE on the lights, meaning they meat DOT inspections. Does the seller have the title? Does the VIN on the title match the VIN on the vehicle?
If so you are pretty much in the clear.|||before you buy the car get a vehix report or whatever it is called. It will tell you all you need to know about the car.
