Is it worth buying a mobile phone from the grey market?

if the one frm where u buy is ur known contact and u r sure that the phone works properly then u can...

anyways it does not make much diff in price, n u end up not paying taxes to the govt..

also, u do not get warranty on ur phone if something goes wrong.

the phone may get caught if it is stolen n not circulated by a manufacturer's employee..

unless it makes a diff of greater than Rs 2k, do not buy frm grey market...|||it really tempts you but the other fellow is right. these phones could have poorly manufactured Li-ion batteries which are dangerous if mishandled and i wouldn't be surprised if one of them explodes right in your face. they have higher radiation levels and there is no guarantee how long they will work.|||if u have a particular brand in open market it is wise to buy it from open market. if u r going for some chinese models u have only gry market.. but at risk of no gaurantee/ warranty.... and all other risks mentioned above|||It is best not to. It could be stolen property, and it also could have been used for criminal or terrorist purposes. In which case you will get into trouble.|||It is a personal choice. I would never buy from the grey market, even if I had the opportunity...|||I would say no. Many of these are stolen. It's not worth it.
