Grey Market Imports?
Is it possible to import an automobile from Europe that has an American modeled equivalent for the benefit of the diesel engine?|||You can import a car from Europe providing it meets with the US EPA guidelines concerning emission controls and has all the required safety features, (seat belts etc) Your best way to do it is through a customs broker who can handle all the paper work for you. BUT if there is an American car similar, why not buy it. It will be alot cheaper.|||It is possible, but very expensive. If you are going to spend that much, why not order a new Mercedes with a diesel? Then you don't have to go through all the red tape involved in importing a car that doesn't meet U.S. specs.|||yeah long as you have the $$
