I need comments about about buying Grey market equipment. These deals are unreal. I'm looking at Canon 30D.

Is purchasing this camera with 2 lens for $ 6-700 dollars a good investment?|||stay far far far away from GREY MARKET EQUIPMENT!!!!! it is not made from the manufacturer! they are made in different parts of the world, they are not made to specks! for example let say you order the Canon 30D and you pull out the manual and camera and it says Canon 30DDD, right off the bat your in trouble! their is a very big chance that it did not come with a USA Warranty!, if you send it in for repair, Canon will not honor the warranty! because it was made in some no name camera company! I know on paper that it looks like a great deal money wise but STAY AWAY FROM BUYING GREY MARKET! YOU WILL HAVE MORE HEAD ACES then what you would ever want!! if your hair is not turning Grey now, it will be soon if you purchased GREY MARKET!!!!!!!!!! STAY A WAY FROM IT!!!!|||Don't expect Canon to honor the warranty or even do any repair on it.

I ran into this problem years ago with my mom's Nikon she bought while in Hong Kong. We had to ship the thing to Japan to use the "International" warranty.|||I just purchased a 350D Rebel xt off ebay...the complete package (3 lenses, case, tripod, etc) was just over $700. The canon lenses did not come with the camera, instead the lenses are Sigma. Not bad.
