Buying camera in grey market?

i am going to buy my first dslr but due to some monetary problem i am compelled to choose a lower model. but can i buy the camera in grey market ? i live in india and here the difference is rs10000 between white and grey market. thanks|||The biggest problem with buying "grey market" is the warranty. If you needed warranty work, you would need to send it back to wherever you purchased it instead of the manufacturer and the last time I heard Nikon will not repair ANY grey market item even if you would pay for it.|||Not a good idea. Not only will the warranty be a problem, something might be missing in the box, like the battery or charger ! It's cheaper for a reason...|||If you want to save money, I'd recommend buying refurbished... saved me lots of money and everything works like new!
