Will a Grey Market NikonD90 be as good and new as the one from the company or will it be refurbished/2nd hand?

So i am all set to purchase this camera and then i hear that its not available on a regular basis i.e. i was told that i might have to go for a grey market piece if it doesn't come from the company. My main concern is,if at all i have to buy a grey market model will it be ' the same ' as compared to the one from the company?Somebody told me that there are chances of getting a refurbished body/old lens/different battery etc.. in the grey market but i am not looking for refurbished or second hand models. What are your views on grey market cameras?|||It will be a new camera however it won't be under warranty like a normal camera, from what I understand. If I have this correct, I bought my rebel from an on line store, standard. It was then under warranty in the US. If you buy gray market it's under warranty in the country it came from. That's what I understand anyway. Perhaps these folks will have more on this subject.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page|||For the most part the grey market cameras do not come with factory warranties, they are usually warranted by the seller which can turn out to be a real pain in the --- if you need any work. You will also see them with a fantastic looking lens, flash, tridod, etc. bundles, these are always a bunch of very low quality items and not worth having.

To be safe only buy from an authorized seller, be it Nikon, Canon, Sony, Pentax, etc. that is the only way to get a factory warranty and not a bunch of bull.

TOM|||Don't go for grey market products. They might be fake chinese makes, or manipulated camera(e.g., lens replaced by a cheaper one). You are not getting a valid purchase bill, you aren't getting any warranty. You won't be able to get it seviced through company service centre. You'd have to go to the same person for repair, who might have duped you at the time of purchase.

Also it's not a wise to look for a discontinued model. Newer models come with newer, smarter features. For expert reviews on camera makes %26amp; models, visit:
